Roy Ashton

Moderator

Roy Ashton is a Partner and Head of TV at The Gersh Agency, with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Prior to joining Gersh in November 2011, Ashton spent 13 years at CAA. Starting in the mailroom, Ashton now functions in all areas of Television, helping clients sell shows and package projects at all major platforms. Additionally, Ashton has sold premium series in and out of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America. He is on the board of Content America and has taught at USC Film School.

Kevin Wade

Screenwriter and Producer

Kevin Wade is a playwright, screenwriter, and television writer and producer whose credits include the stage plays Key Exchange, Mr. & Mrs., and Cruise Control, and the screenplays for Working Girl (seven Academy Award nominations), True Colors, Mr. Baseball, Junior, Meet Joe Black, and Maid in Manhattan. For television, he created the ABC television drama Cashmere Mafia and in 2010 joined the rookie CBS drama Blue Bloods as a writer. Starting with the second season and for the rest of the show’s fourteen year run Wade served as showrunner, executive producer, and back-seat driver.

Chris Brancato

Screenwriter and Producer

Chris Brancato is a showrunner whose work includes the Emmy-nominated crime drama series NARCOS, starring Pedro Pascal and which ran for seven seasons on Netflix; GODFATHER OF HARLEM, starring Forest Whittaker and currently shooting its fourth season for MGM+; and MGM+‘s newest drama HOTEL COCAINE starring Michael Chiklis and Danny Pino and currently airing its first season. Brancato is a writer, producer, and showrunner with hundreds of hours of television credits, among them award-winning and hugely popular shows such as X-FILES, LAW AND ORDER: CRIMINAL INTENT, HANNIBAL, and BEVERLY HILLS 90210. Additionally, Chris wrote the features HOODLUM, starring Laurence Fishburne; SPECIES II for MGM; SHERLOCK 3 for Team Downey and Warner Brothers. He’s won a Peabody Award (BOOMTOWN), two Saturn Awards (HANNIBAL), received Golden Globes and BAFTA nominations (NARCOS) and a Writer’s Guild Award for his work on one of the Hundred Best Television Series (X-FILES). From 2006 to 2011 he was President of the Writers Guild Foundation. He works with Autism Speaks and other charities.
