2024 Ambassador for the Arts Award

The Ambassador For The Arts Award is presented to an actor or TV professional for their commitment to the promotion of the arts, and their work to encourage young people to excel in the arts within the North Fork community. Prior Ambassador For The Arts Award recipients include Christopher Jackson in 2021 and Constance Wu in 2019.

Richard Schiff - Honoree, Costar of Comedy Festival Winner "Swipe NYC"

Richard Schiff is an award winning actor, director and published writer. Awards include an Emmy along with three Emmy nominations; two SAG awards and an Ovation Award and two Backstage Awards for theater work. He is best known for his role of Toby Ziegler on the acclaimed West Wing and for Dr. Glassman on the mega hit The Good Doctor as well as Ballers, Counterpart, Manhattan and dozens of others. He has starred or appeared in Wakanda Forever, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Clemency, Man of Steel and Ray among more than 50 films. He’s starred on both Broadway and The West End in London among many theater credits. He founded and was Artistic Director of Manhattan Repertory Theater in New York City. He is active in politics and social causes and is on the board of The Creative Coalition and Counsel for a Liveable World and an active fundraiser for the ACLU and Public Counsel. He has written columns for The Independent and Huffington Post and his first published poetry will be out this summer.

Richard Schiff also stars in "Swipe NYC," which received this year's North Fork TV Festival Best Comedy Pilot Award.

Adrienne White - Moderator

Adrienne Rose White is a multi-hyphenate writer, actor, producer. As an actress, she appears in the upcoming Searchlight Pictures feature Nightbitch starring Amy Adams, and she stars in the feature After We’re Over (now streaming on Amazon). As a creator and producer, Adrienne co-created and sold the TV drama series Barrister's Ball to CBS Studios. As a writer, she sold a comedy pilot to CBS Network (as seen in Deadline and Variety) with executive producer Cedric the Entertainer, and optioned an hour-long dramedy series to Lakeshore Entertainment. As a mentor, Adrienne developed the online program How to *Actually* Sell a TV Show, Organically to empower and inform creatives on how to develop, package, and sell the story that only they could tell. She’s helped other creatives get yeses from Netflix and Paramount, meetings with their dream show runners, and more.
